Dr Hannah McKinnon graduated as a Dental Surgeon (BDS) from Birmingham University after living and going to school in Lymm.

She has worked in both general dental practice and hospital based surgical dentistry since qualification in 2005. Hannah enjoys every aspect of routine dentistry and has undertaken many courses to refine her clinical skills. During this time, she completed her membership qualification in dental surgery to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

Dr McKinnon also completed post graduate training in Dental Sedation and Pain Management from University of Central London. The training was both theory-based and practical, under the supervision of experienced medical anaesthetists. More recently, she completed mentored implant training and is now restoring dental implants using the Nobel Biocare system.

In 2011, Dr McKinnon returned to her home, the North-West and continued general dental practice and MOS work in various localities including St. Helens, Chester and Warrington.
She became partner at Guilden Sutton Dental Practice with Dr Heather Ryves in 2016 and together they developed Lindi Dental in 2026.

Dr Mckinnon has a special interest in oral surgery (MOS) and sedation (use of medicines to safely relax and calm patients for a dental procedure). She is an NHS accredited Tier 2 Oral Surgeon- a formal credential that allows dentists to perform surgical procedures in practice without need for referral.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr McKinnon has a seat on the Local Dental Comittee for Chester and Cheshire West. The LDC is involved in developing clinical NHS policy for dentists and helping local practices implement them.

Outside the surgery, Dr Hannah McKinnon is a busy working mum of three, a prolific reader and music lover! She is a committed advocate for fitness and wellbeing with yoga and regular training forming a core part of her routine — a discipline Dr McKinnon brings into her approach to dentistry too.

Since qualifying from the University of Liverpool in 2000, Heather has built a diverse career across both NHS and private practice. Having served as a Clinical Lead, she brings a wealth of experience and a calm, expert touch to every patient interaction.

In 2016, Heather realized a long-held ambition by partnering with her close friend, Dr. Hannah McKinnon, to acquire Guilden Sutton Dental Practice. After a successful decade of practice ownership, she is thrilled to embark on her next chapter with the opening of Lindi Dental.

Heather is deeply passionate about patient-centered care. She believes that the foundation of a successful treatment plan is transparency; she takes the time to explain every option available so her patients feel fully informed and confident in their choices. Her goal is to ensure that every visit is comfortable, relaxed, and friendly.

While Heather enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, she has developed several areas of special interest:
• Invisalign: Helping patients achieve the smile they’ve always wanted.
• Facial Rejuvenation: A validated provider of anti-wrinkle treatments.
• Endodontics: Following advanced training at the Simplyendo centre, Heather has developed a passion for root canal treatments.

An active member of the local NHS Dental Committee, Heather is committed to the broader dental community. When she isn’t at the practice, you’ll likely find her enjoying time with family and friends, travelling, gardening, or working out at the gym.

Richard is both nationally and internationally respected as a lecturer and mentor in implant dentistry, zygomatic implants, immediate same day implants and CT scanning and planning for implant surgery. He has placed over 5000 implants. He also lectures for Nobel Biocare nationally and internationally on a range of advanced implant techniques and is a regular lecturer and contributor to their World Tour.

Richard’s Centre of Advanced Dental Education (CADE) has carried out postgraduate dental training and education for hundreds of dentists since 2008.

CADE provides a structured programme of didactic study delivered through a series of interactive lectures, seminars, hands-on training, live surgery and mentored clinical treatment highlighted in the two year-long implant courses that operate every year in Hale.

Richard exclusively practices all aspects of implant dentistry, including hard and soft tissue augmentation, sinus grafting and same day implants.

He first qualified in 1996 from the University of Dundee. Then in 1999 he gained his Masters degree in Oral Surgery from the University of Sheffield and further extended his clinical qualification in 2001 by completing an 18 month Implant Training Programme.

In 2009, he attained a highest Honours award in the one year Implant Master Program from the University of California Los Angeles/Gide Program.

Richard was also one of the first six in the UK to gain The Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh at its first sitting.

Most recently Richard has completed four years of advanced postgraduate research in the Oral and Maxillofacial Department at the University of Manchester in the field of Zygomatic Implants.

He was awarded his well-regarded Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in November 2020.
